Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract)

You'll run a shift of officers at a guarding contract across several sites in Pietermaritzburg, keeping posts covered and standards high. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a guarding contract across several sites in Pietermaritzburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills

• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Available after hours for emergencies
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Own reliable vehicle
• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
