Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract)

A security company in Roodepoort wants a firm, fair supervisor for its retail portfolio. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Roodepoort, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries

• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
• Mining or hospital security experience
• Own reliable vehicle

• Provident fund and funeral cover
• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
