Site Agent (Civil Works)

This general building contractor in Mamelodi needs someone who can read the drawings and get a building out of the ground. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The work is in Mamelodi, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Draw up snag lists and close them out before practical completion
• Run toolbox talks and support the safety officer on Construction Regulations compliance
• Coordinate subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, roofing and glazing
• Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
• Set out foundations, grid lines and levels with the surveyor or a dumpy level

• Firm with labour, fair with subcontractors
• Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
• National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
• Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
• Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites
• At least 5 years on building or civil sites, 2 of them in a supervisory post
