Job Description

This low-cost housing developer in Brackenfell needs someone who can read the drawings and get a building out of the ground. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Brackenfell-based, with most of your time spent at a low-cost housing developer. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Order concrete, bricks and steel on time so gangs never stand idle
Run toolbox talks and support the safety officer on Construction Regulations compliance
Chair the weekly site meeting and record actions for the principal agent
Measure completed work for monthly payment certificates
Keep the site diary, daily labour returns and plant hours up to date

What you need

Code 08 licence and your own reliable transport between sites
Working knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014 under the OHS Act
Good with MS Project or a similar programme tool
National Diploma or BTech in Building or Civil Engineering, or a trade background with site experience
At least 5 years on building or civil sites, 2 of them in a supervisory post

Extra points for

SACPCMP registration as a Construction Manager or Candidate
Experience on JBCC or GCC 2015 contracts
Worked on CIDB grade 6 or higher projects
