Site Labourer (Concrete Crew)

Strong, willing hands are wanted on a townhouse construction site in Montague Gardens. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Montague Gardens, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
• Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
• Clear rubble and load it into skips
• Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
• Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches

• You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
• Prepared to travel between sites in the area
• A clean record is preferred for some government sites
• Grade 8 or higher
• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• Willing to start early, often at 06:30

• Learn from artisans with a chance to move up to assistant
• Overtime on weekend pours and deadline days
• Paid weekly or fortnightly
• Boots, hard hat and overalls issued on site

• If a foreman can vouch for you, put their number on your CV. Site hiring runs on word of mouth.
• List past sites by name and what you did there, like "mixed concrete, laid kerbs". It proves you have done real site work.
