Job Description

Every wall and slab on this low-cost housing development in Secunda needs labourers, and the crew needs one more. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a low-cost housing development in Secunda. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor
Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision

You'll need

Grade 8 or higher
Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

Nice if you have

Previous site work you can show with a reference
A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor
