Site Safety Officer (Civil Projects)

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the road construction project in Epping. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a road construction project in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Write and review risk assessments and safe work method statements
• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Run site inductions for every new worker and visitor

• SAMTRAC or an NQF-accredited health and safety qualification
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight
• First Aid Level 1 at least
• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites

• Travel and site allowances
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Laptop and data for reporting
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
