Site Safety Officer (Civil Projects)

You'll keep the site legal and the workers safe for the municipal infrastructure project in Rustenburg. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a municipal infrastructure project on the Rustenburg side of North West. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Hold toolbox talks on topics that match the week's work
• Keep appointment letters and competency certificates in the file
• Check that fall protection plans are in place for work at height
• Compile and maintain the site health and safety file under the Construction Regulations 2014
• Track PPE issues and replace damaged equipment

• At least 2 years as a safety officer on construction sites
• SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer
• You write clear reports in English
• Confident enough to stop unsafe work, even when the programme is tight

• Fall protection planner training
• Diploma in Safety Management

• Laptop and data for reporting
• Paid SACPCMP renewal and CPD
• Clear growth path to a construction health and safety agent role
• Travel and site allowances

• Put your SACPCMP registration number and category first. Many CVs without it are rejected without being read.
• Name the kind of projects you have covered, like roads, housing or wind farms. Clients want sector experience.
