Site Security Officer (Construction Yard) – Experienced

The gate at a construction yard in Kathu is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Kathu-based, with most of your time spent at a construction yard.

• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Physically fit for foot patrols

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
