Site Security Officer (Construction Yard)

You'll control who comes in and out of an industrial park in Kempton Park, and log every visitor properly. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Kempton Park-based, with most of your time spent at an industrial park.

• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Clean criminal record
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Speaks and writes basic English

• First-aid Level 1 certificate
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
