Site Security Officer (Construction Yard) – Permanent

Residents and staff at a distribution warehouse in Klerksdorp need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

The site is in Klerksdorp; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
