Site Security Officer (Construction Yard)

You'll control who comes in and out of a distribution warehouse in Sandton, and log every visitor properly. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a distribution warehouse in Sandton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed

• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Clean criminal record

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
