Skills Development Facilitator (Learnerships) – Experienced

Stand in front of a class of adults at a corporate training academy in Burgersfort and make the work make sense. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Burgersfort. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings

• Own transport for training at client sites
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Good report writing and record keeping
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field

• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts
• Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle

• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Paid re-registration with your SETA

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
• Say which unit standards or occupational qualifications you're registered for; this decides where you can be used.
