Skills Development Facilitator (Learnerships)

Here your industry experience becomes lessons for the next group of learners, at an accredited training provider in Pretoria West. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Pretoria West. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides

• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Own transport for training at client sites
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field

• Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
• Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle
• SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience

• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Paid re-registration with your SETA

• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
