Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a logistics software company in Bellville. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Bellville. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Document how your features work for support and new developers

You'll need

Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript

Nice if you have

Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
