Solar PV Installation Electrician

You'll wire, fault-find and certify installations for the food processing plant in Boksburg. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Boksburg. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
• Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients
• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
• Lock out and tag out circuits before any work on live equipment

• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre
• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence

• Working at Heights certificate still in date
• PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
• Provident fund and group risk cover after probation
• Standby allowance when you are on the after-hours roster

• Many applicants forget to attach the trade test certificate itself. Recruiters often skip CVs that only mention it.
