Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in Cape Town CBD, and nobody minds if it's your first job. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre.

• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
