Store Assistant (Night Fill)

Shoppers in Upington judge a wholesale cash-and-carry by its shelves, and that is where you come in. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a wholesale cash-and-carry on the Upington side of Northern Cape.

• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager

• Neat appearance and punctual
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Grade 10 or matric
• Basic reading and maths for price checks

• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Some till or cash-handling experience

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Paid training in store procedures
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Staff discount on groceries
