Structural Steel Detailer (Tekla)

The civil and structural consultancy in Mokopane needs a draughtsperson who gets the dimensions right the first time. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Mokopane-based, with most of your time spent at a civil and structural consultancy.

• Follow SANS 10111 drawing conventions and the office title block standard
• Draft civil layouts, longitudinal sections and cross sections for services
• Keep the drawing register current and issue drawings on time
• Produce bills of materials from 3D models
• Draw general arrangements, details and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD or Inventor

• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and tolerances
• Able to read engineers' mark-ups and ask the right questions
• At least 2 years working as a draughtsperson in your discipline
• Neat and accurate, with a habit of checking your own work
• Good time planning when several projects need drawings at once
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD plus one 3D package

• Latest CAD software licences
• Two-screen workstation

• List the software versions you use daily. Firms want to know you can start without training.
