Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift) – Experienced

You'll answer alarms across a farming district in Ballito in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is in Ballito (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases

• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• First-aid Level 2 or 3
• Advanced driving course

• Danger and night allowances
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Regular refresher shooting practice

• Mention the areas you know well. Companies prefer officers who can find addresses fast without a GPS.
