Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift)

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a business park in George. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a business park in George. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• Calm under pressure and physically fit

• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
• Response vehicle and firearm provided

• Mention the areas you know well. Companies prefer officers who can find addresses fast without a GPS.
• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
