Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a suburban residential area in Prospecton. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Prospecton, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

You'll need

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Nice if you have

SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
Advanced driving course
First-aid Level 2 or 3
