Job Description

Clients in a mixed-use neighbourhood in Prospecton pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Prospecton. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

Must-haves

SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Calm under pressure and physically fit
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

Extra points for

Advanced driving course
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
