Tactical Response Officer (Night Shift)

When a panic button goes off in a business park in Tembisa, you are the one who arrives first. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a business park in Tembisa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details

• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• Advanced driving course

• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Response vehicle and firearm provided
