Job Description

Clients sleep better when their tax is sorted, and an import and export trading house in Bellville needs you to sort it. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is an import and export trading house on the Bellville side of Western Cape.

What your day looks like

Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims
Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
Keep client tax files complete for five years

You'll need

At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
Comfortable handling tax season overtime
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA

Helpful, not essential

Tax software experience such as TaxShop or CaseWare
Postgraduate diploma in tax
