Tax Consultant (Corporate Income Tax) – Fixed-Term

A financial planning practice in eMalahleni needs a tax practitioner who knows eFiling inside out. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in eMalahleni. Relocation is not covered for this one. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients
• Respond to SARS verification letters and upload documents on time
• Apply for tax clearance and tax compliance status PINs
• Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
• Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients
• Keep client tax files complete for five years
• Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling

• Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
• Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
• Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
• At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience

• Postgraduate diploma in tax
• Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
• Customs and excise knowledge for import-export clients

• Paid controlling body subscription
• Flexible hours outside filing season
• CPD hours paid by the firm
• Bonus at the end of filing season
