Tax Consultant (Corporate Income Tax)

You'll keep clients in good standing with SARS at a financial planning practice in Pietermaritzburg. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a financial planning practice in Pietermaritzburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Apply for tax clearance and tax compliance status PINs
• Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE
• Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients
• Draft objections and appeals with supporting schedules
• Keep client tax files complete for five years

• Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
• Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
• Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
• Neat, careful and organised with client documents
• At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience

• CPD hours paid by the firm
