Tea Lady / Office Cleaner

Early starts, clear routines and a steady contract at an university campus in Pinetown. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Pinetown. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Clean glass doors and internal windows without streaks
• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift
• Report broken fittings, leaks or empty stock to the site supervisor
• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Set up and clear boardrooms before and after meetings
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors following the daily cleaning schedule

• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
• Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items

• Tea service or kitchen experience
• Previous contract cleaning experience with a reference

• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided
• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules

• Ask a former supervisor if you can put their number on your CV. Cleaning contractors almost always phone a reference.
• Mention any machines you can use, like a scrubber or polisher. Machine cleaners are harder to find and often get picked first.
