Job Description

This farming enterprise in Newcastle needs someone who knows payroll tax and SARS inside out. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Newcastle; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Import clock-card data and check overtime against the BCEA limits.
Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Reconcile medical aid, pension and provident fund schedules.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
Process garnishee orders, loans and third-party deductions.

You'll need

Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification
Trusted with confidential salary data
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision

Helpful, not essential

ETI claim experience
SAPA (South African Payroll Association) membership or certification
