Tour Desk Agent (Waterfront)

Running the front desk of a beach resort in Pietermaritzburg means calm service and a clean shift balance. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a beach resort in Pietermaritzburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Manage OTA bookings coming in from online travel channels.
• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
• Store guest details securely in line with POPIA.
• Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.

• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Matric
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
• Honest with cash and card payments
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm

• A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
• Opera PMS or Protel certificate
• Revenue or yield management exposure

• Meals on duty and uniform supplied
• Service charge share at some properties
• Night-shift allowance
• Discounted stays across the group
