Guests at this airport hotel in Sandton meet you first, so the stay starts at your desk. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is an airport hotel on the Sandton side of Gauteng. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.
• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.
• Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.

• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Clear spoken and written English
• Matric
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system

• Opera PMS or Protel certificate
• A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
