Tracking Control Room Agent (Vehicle Recovery)

From a chair in a shopping mall security office in Paarl, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a shopping mall security office in Paarl. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows

• Matric
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
• Call centre work in the past

• Shift allowance for nights
• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment

• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
