Tracking Control Room Agent (Vehicle Recovery)

From a chair in a vehicle tracking control centre in Phalaborwa, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a vehicle tracking control centre in Phalaborwa. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Log every event and action on the monitoring software
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement

• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Matric
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)

• Shift allowance for nights
• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Path to senior controller or supervisor

• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
• Mention any software you have used: alarm monitoring, CCTV or even call centre systems. Control rooms need people who learn screens fast.
