Job Description

Big machines, long days in season: a fruit orchard near Durban Central needs a skilled operator. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a fruit orchard on the Durban Central side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What you'll actually do

Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers

Must-haves

Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm
Available to live on or near the farm
Can read job cards and spray instructions
