Job Description

Get off the road and into the control office at a courier operations centre in Brits. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Brits-based, with most of your time spent at a courier operations centre.

The work, day to day

Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

What you need

Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Good with Excel and email
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
