Transport Controller (Long Haul Fleet) – Permanent

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a road freight company in Fourways, keeping every trip on time. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Fourways. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Update customers on delivery times and delays

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster

• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
