Job Description

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a road freight company in Germiston, keeping every trip on time. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Germiston. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

You'll need

Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
Matric
Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers

Nice if you have

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Previous truck driving experience
