Trolley and Parcel Assistant – Permanent

Shoppers in Alberton judge a wholesale cash-and-carry by its shelves, and that is where you come in. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Alberton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Paid training in store procedures
