Truck Loader (Night Shift)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Atlantis so every delivery goes out full and correct. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Atlantis-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer warehouse. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Friendly with customers at the door
• No criminal record
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
