Truck Loader (Night Shift) – Entry Level

Delivery days start early in Boksburg, and a cement and brick yard needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Boksburg-based, with most of your time spent at a cement and brick yard.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Friendly with customers at the door
• No criminal record
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
