Truck Loader (Night Shift)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this beverage depot in Brakpan, and you move the stock in between. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a beverage depot on the Brakpan side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Friendly with customers at the door
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
