Truck Loader (Night Shift)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a furniture retailer warehouse in Kempton Park wants. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Kempton Park-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer warehouse. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• No criminal record

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
