Truck Loader (Night Shift) – Immediate Start

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Paarl, and you move the stock in between. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a container unpacking yard in Paarl. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
