Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a container unpacking yard in Stellenbosch wants. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

You'll need

Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Willing to travel on routes that return late
No criminal record
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

Nice if you have

Basic furniture assembly skills
Past work as a driver's assistant
