TVET College Lecturer (Electrical Engineering) – Fixed-Term

A manufacturing plant training room in Centurion needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners

• Good report writing and record keeping
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Own transport for training at client sites

• Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle
• SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience
• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts

• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Paid re-registration with your SETA
