Montessori Assistant (Casa Class) – Fixed-Term

You'll care for and teach young children at a primary school aftercare programme in Sandton, from nappies to first letters. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
• Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
• Watch children closely outside and keep the play area safe
• Follow the NCF daily programme and adapt it for each age group
• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine

• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Warm, patient and energetic with small children
• Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
• Matric
• ECD Level 4 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards one

• Apply for the Form 30 check early, as it can take weeks and many creches won't appoint without it.
• Add one sentence about an activity you ran that the children loved; it shows you can plan, not just supervise.
