Job Description

Stand in front of a class of adults at a public TVET college in Montague Gardens and make the work make sense. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Montague Gardens (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

The work, day to day

Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments

What you need

Good report writing and record keeping
Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
Own transport for training at client sites
Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts

Extra points for

Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle
Teaching qualification or Higher Certificate in adult education
