TVET College Lecturer (Electrical Engineering)

Here your industry experience becomes lessons for the next group of learners, at a manufacturing plant training room in Prospecton. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a manufacturing plant training room on the Prospecton side of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
• Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification

• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults

• Trade test certificate for artisan training posts
• SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience
• Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle

• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
