Job Description

Shrinkage hurts every retail distribution centre; in Burgersfort, you would be the one tracking it down. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Burgersfort-based, with most of your time spent at a retail distribution centre. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Share trends with the store manager each week
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy

Must-haves

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Good report writing
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

Helpful, not essential

Experience giving evidence in court
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
