Job Description

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at a retail distribution centre in Midrand before they cost jobs. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Midrand, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

The work, day to day

Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers
Share trends with the store manager each week
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

What you need

Good report writing
Able to handle confrontation calmly
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Discreet, observant and honest
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
